Dino Laine, singer, Blue Iguana

Dino Laine sings in Blue Iguana

This web site documents my singing cameo role in the 2018 Sam Rockwell comedy-thriller-romance

Blue Iguana

That’s me on the right in a screen grab from the movie--my one and only close-up!--which comes courtesy of the film’s writer-director,

Hadi Hajaig.

I only have a very small role in the film, but I do get to sing my own composition, Whispering Love, in the London pub run by the movie’s ruthless villain, Deacon Bradshaw, who is played by Peter Ferdinando.

Apart from Sam Rockwell and Peter Ferdinando, the film’s other principal cast members are: Phoebe Fox, Ben Schwartz, Amanda Donohoe, Frances Barber and Simon Callow. For my short plot synopsis of the film, see right.

Blue Iguana was released in the USA in late August 2018. This site is still under construction. Active links below are underlined.

Blue Iguana, Short Plot Synopsis

Ex-jailbirds Eddie (Sam Rockwell) and Paul (Ben Schwartz) are on parole and working as counter-hands in a New York diner. Eddie is quiet, calm, stoical and confident. Paul is loud-mouthed, impulsive, emotional and obsessed with movies.

They're best buddies and a team, but their lives are a dead end. That is, until bookworm English lawyer Katherine Rookwood (Phoebe Fox) walks into the diner with an offer they can't refuse.

Her plan takes them to London. The prize they seek is a fabulous gem called the Blue Iguana. The man who stands in their way is a psychotic small-time crime boss, mullet-haired Deacon Bradshaw (Peter Ferdinando). And, along with all the black comic blood-letting, gunplay and danger, the unexpected consequence of their quest is True Love.

Cool charisma, comic book romance, pop art style and culture-clashing laughs: Blue Iguana is a smart, funny love story with guns…and mullets.
